Their story began in the least romantic way possible: through tires. She was looking for a supplier for Speed Seven when she met Jam, a fellow professional in the car industry. For more than a year, they stayed strictly business. Then, in early 2023, friendship took over. Late-night conversations, casual hangouts, travels, and even comparing dating stories slowly became something neither expected.

Both were healing from heartbreak and became each other’s safe place. When Jam admitted how he felt, she told him she was not ready. His answer still makes her smile: “Para lang akong si Jollibee—willing to wait.”

And wait he did.

After a year of quietly dating, Jam planned a proposal straight out of a rom-com: a helicopter ride over Taal Volcano disguised as a work shoot. Mid-flight, he asked the question that changed everything. Back in Silang, Shane and Sean, their kids, were waiting to celebrate with them.

Eager to begin married life, they first tied the knot in a civil ceremony in Carmona, Cavite, surrounded by family and a life-sized standee of Jam’s father, Daddy Nestor.
Six months later came their dream wedding.

For the bride, who had worked in events for over a decade, planning her own celebration meant learning to stop thinking like a supplier. “I stepped back and chose to approach it not as a supplier, but as a bride,” she shared.

That shift gave the day its heart. The ceremony unfolded in an ethereal all-white setting—soft, timeless, and personal. Many of their suppliers were friends from Silang and Tagaytay, making the celebration feel more like home. Instead of hiring a wedding car, the couple used their own cars, a fitting nod to the industry that first brought them together. Daddy Nestor’s standee was there, too, keeping his presence close.

At the reception, romance met a little main-character energy. A dramatic ceiling treatment warmed the space, while their first dance became the night’s cinematic highlight, framed by lights, sound, special effects, and a laser beam that made the room seem to disappear around them.

Their cake added a playful touch, inspired by Bubu and Dudu, the cartoon pair that had become part of their dating-era algorithm.

If she had to describe the wedding in one word, it would be “effortless.”

“Nothing mattered more than the fact that I was about to marry my future husband,” she said.

Their day was never about perfection. It was about finding love after healing, choosing joy, and discovering that sometimes the best stories begin when no one sees them coming.
