Featuring Koko Gonzales and Camille Canlas

Koko Gonzales and Camille Canlas had walked similar paths growing up in Pampanga, but it wasn’t until their first year in law school that their stories finally intertwined. At first, they were simply classmates, navigating the unrelenting tide of legal studies. But as graduation neared, something shifted—Koko found himself drawn to Camille in a way he couldn’t quite explain. One day, he showed up with coffee, a quiet but meaningful gesture that marked the start of something beautiful.

Their bond deepened in the quiet corners of the library and across countless late-night calls. Friendship soon gave way to something far more profound. They weren’t just preparing to pass the bar—they were learning how to build a life together. After six years of partnership and perseverance, Koko proposed to Camille beneath the cherry blossom trees in Fukuoka, Japan. It was a dreamy, poetic moment that captured everything they had become together.

Their wedding, held at Our Lady of Old Remedies Church with a reception at Royce Hotel and Casino, reflected the same thoughtfulness and grace that defined their love story. The theme, “Classy Minimalist Dream,” was brought to life through an all-white palette with soft blush accents—symbols of purity, peace, and the gentle beauty of new beginnings. White roses and blush peonies filled the space with elegance, while candles and white lamps added a soft, intimate glow.

Camille walked down the aisle to Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap, played live by a handpicked quartet—a meaningful, one-of-a-kind moment no supplier could replicate. With every element crafted with care, their wedding wasn’t just a celebration. It was a heartfelt expression of a once-in-a-lifetime love.

Every detail was a reflection of their journey. Koko wore engraved cufflinks and even had his shoebox customized with their initials—little emblems of the life they were building. Personalized menu cards honored their principal sponsors, while unique stations—a live leather stamping booth and a minimalist bracelet bar—offered guests keepsakes that spoke of the couple’s love for travel and understated style.

Their law school beginnings were honored with a prenup slideshow set in the library where their paths first crossed, reminding guests how love can bloom in even the most studious of places. And then came the most touching moments—Camille’s daughter, 13-year-old Casey, gave a heartfelt speech about how their family finally felt whole. Koko, in turn, vowed to love and protect her as his own. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

Even the unplanned moments became highlights. During their first dance, a few missed steps turned into laughter, a perfect metaphor for embracing life’s imperfections together. And long after the program ended, friends and family lingered, not wanting the night—or the joy—to end.
