The art of making jewelry is a slow and artful process that requires an eye for detail and skilled hands. For jeweler and designer couple Miguel and Niña Cuenca, jewelry becomes more meaningful when it comes with a personal touch, and this is part of the experience their clients receive through their brand, Atelier 818.

A proudly homegrown brand, Atelier 818 is home to highly skilled Filipino artisans who span three decades of excellence in this inherited craft. Its workshop upholds the traditions of handmade jewelry, and infuses smart innovations to make its creations unique and a cut above the rest.

In recent years, some of their pieces have caught the eye of international titles such as British Vogue, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar. What started out as an online brand, holding occasional private trunk shows for a growing clientele, eventually opened its house at SM Aura Premier.

The brand’s vision is to be a dream jewelry house. A go-to place where ideas can be discussed, creations drawn, pieces tailored, created and recreated, and collaborations formed. It is at its very essence—a dream studio, house, workshop, maison, atelier.

Atelier818 brand philosophy is all about timeless pieces with a personal twist. A “classic” piece should not be limited to a particular style or era, but reflective of the wearer’s distinct personality, making it withstand trends.

Atelier818 is fashion-forward in offering a range of the latest, universally coveted styles of jewelry, but also adept in refining each piece to bring out its wearer’s personality. This way, they always offer something unique to budding collectors, the discerning sophisticates, tastemakers and trendsetters.

“We have a very personal approach to designing jewelry for our clients, as well as launching new collections. We handpick the gems and we only make limited pieces per design. Our artisans are also skilled at reworking heirloom pieces.” shares Niña Cuenca.

“We also make sure to involve our clients throughout the whole process of creation—and we particularly love teaching them what they need to know about diamonds, gemstones and jewelry.” adds Miguel.

Jewelry deserves to be worn, not kept inside a vault. With Miguel and Niña Cuenca’s help, you can have a meaningful and distinct piece you’ll be proud to wear for years to come.
