So five months ago, Emily Ratajkowski surprised us with a wedding announcement on her Instagram stories, no less, right after the wedding ceremony already took place. Since then, no official photos surfaced nor were there more details spilled about events leading up to the wedding day.

Just in today, in her interview with Jimmy Fallon, Emily finally shared intimate details of her wedding. Here’s what we found out:

    1. Her then-fiancé, music producer Sebastian Bear-McClard, actually didn’t propose to her with a ring! Instead, he used the paperclip that came with the bill from New York restaurant Minetta Tavern and wrapped it around Emily’s finger. She found this romantic and she said YES!
    2. For her wedding band, they bought gold from Chinatown and got an Israeli Jewelry designer to smelt the gold and turn it into a ring that was supposed to be a temporary ring for their impromptu wedding. But Emily got attached to the personal touch of the ring and kept it on her finger until today.
    3. On their wedding day, her husband Sebastian wore two rings that said “EM” and “RATA”.
    4. Emily finally got her engagement ring that consisted of two diamonds–one pear cut and one princess-cut diamond–in one! Her hubby sure knew how to make up for it!
