We’re swooning over Lady Kitty Spencer’s wedding looks over the weekend. A global ambassador of Dolce & Gabbana, the niece of the late Diana Spencer had fun dressing up for her very special day with financier Michael Lewis.
On the Instagram account of Dolce & Gabbana, the fashion house confirmed that all of the bride’s gowns are under their Alta Moda line “for the most important day of her life.” As a teaser, D&G posted a video compilation of all the looks they created for the wedding set in Villa Aldobrandini, Italy.
Her first look, worn on a Friday, was a cerulean tulle gown with a bustier corset top and sweetheart neckline. It was accentuated with a lot of pink embroidery of cross-stitched florals that cascaded down to the hem. A tulle cape in the same hue sealed the look.
For her wedding day on Saturday, she wore a Victorian-inspired full lace wedding gown that covered most of her body, including her neck. The fitted corset bodice and puffed sleeves add a touch of old romanticism.
For her third look for Saturday dinner, she made another fashion statement with scrunched off-shoulder neckline and a voluminous double organza skirt that was embellished with hand painted roses and crystals for a three-dimensional effect.
Of course, to cap off the wonderful day, she and all the guests enjoyed the night with lots of dancing. She wore a metallic beaded number that made her a standout that evening.
Lastly, the most beautiful Mikado silk gown with appliques of flowers and ribbons left us speechless. “One of the inspirations is definitely her love for Italy. Kitty is in love with our beautiful country and its rich history, art and culture,” Tatler interviewed Domenico Dolce. Stefano Gabban added, “But she is also a girl who is very attached to her origins, to England, and to her heritage of the great Victorian era. And like all the English people, she has a great passion for all kinds of flowers.”
