American Idol alum and actress, Katharine McPhee was every bit a June bride when she arrived at the St. Yeghiche Armenian Apostolic Church in Kensington, London on June 28, 2109, to wed her fiancé of eleven months music producer David Foster. The couple exchanged vows in front of approximately 100 of their closest friends and family including the likes of tennis star Roger Federer, TV star Dr. Phil, and designer Zac Posen. Also in attendance were David’s daughters Amy, Sara, and Erin Foster.
The bride looked radiant in her cream strapless ballgown of layers of stripped tulle with matching veil made by Zac Posen. She kept her styling minimal with her hair pulled back in a sleek chignon accessorized only in a pair of diamond stud earrings, delicate diamond bracelets and of course her massive engagement ring. The groom, on the other hand, looked polished in his classic black tuxedo.
The summer festivities continued after the ceremony as guests celebrated with the newlyweds at Oswald’s Club in Mayfair where Katharine was snapped leaving the venue with her new husband in arm wearing one of Posen’s corseted ice blue midi dress.
The couple who have had previous marriages in the past made their engagement public after vacationing in Capri in July of 2018. In an Instagram post moments before the wedding, the nostalgic bride reminisced on her encounter with the producer in a caption that says:
“Exactly 13 years ago today my very first single, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, was released after Idol. Today … I’m marrying the man who produced it. Life is full of beautiful coincidences, isn’t it? Thank you for taking me over the rainbow David.”
