Featuring Edison Tomenio and Mary Anne Andres
Edison and Mary Anne’s love story was never rushed.
It started quietly in 2005, when they first met in high school, and slowly found its rhythm years later through weekend bus rides from Manila to Cavite. Mary Anne was studying at UST, Edison at FEU, and what began as a simple commute became their own little love language.

Mary Anne eventually noticed that Edison had stopped getting off at his usual stop and would ride all the way to hers, just to spend more time with her. During UST Paskuhan, under a sky full of fireworks, Edison finally told her he loved her. “It felt like something straight out of a movie,” Mary Anne shared.

Through the years, their relationship grew through simple dates, long walks, endless conversations, and the kind of friendship that made love feel safe. They also endured distance when Edison worked in Qatar from 2019 to 2021 while Mary Anne was in residency training. When he came home, he proposed at their high school alma mater, the place where everything began.

In 2022, with Edison’s father battling stage 4 colorectal cancer, the couple chose not to wait. They had an intimate civil wedding with their immediate families, allowing his father to witness his son get married before he passed away a month later. That moment became one of the most meaningful parts of their journey.

Years later, in 2026, Edison and Mary Anne finally celebrated the church beach wedding they had always dreamed of. Intimate, intentional, and faith-filled, the ceremony reflected who they were as a couple. They reserved a chair for Edison’s late father, chose a unity sand ceremony, and watched their son walk down the aisle as ring bearer.

“We were very intentional about our wedding. More than anything, we wanted it to genuinely reflect who we are as a couple. We kept our celebration intimate, surrounding ourselves only with the people who truly knew, loved, and journeyed with us through the years.”, shares the couple.

For Mary Anne, the unforgettable moment came when the doors opened for her bridal walk.
“Everything else faded away in that instant,” she said. The clouds had looked threatening all afternoon, but the rain never came. Instead, a breathtaking sunset appeared, almost like heaven saying, “Approved.”

The reception was pure joy: tropical, relaxed, and full of personality. Their first dance to “Dear True Love” by Sleeping At Last became magical when fireworks lit up the sky. Guests played games, enjoyed thoughtfully curated food, and partied until 5 AM.

For Edison, the most emotional part was exchanging their personally written vows. Their wedding, 16 years in the making, was not just beautiful, it was proof that real love grows, waits, chooses, and stays.
