Featuring Mark Neto Diaz and Jumalyn A. Pernito

Twelve years before they ever stood face-to-face, their story had already begun. They knew each other only through screens and messages; two lives quietly intersecting online, unaware that time itself was shaping something sacred.

Then, on January 2, 2022, they finally decided to meet in person, intending nothing more than friendship. But from the moment they saw each other, something shifted.

There was no nervous performance, no need to impress, only ease. Conversation flowed as if they had always existed in the same space. “It felt natural,” shares the groom.

“There was peace in it. No pressure. Just two people choosing to really see each other.” That first meeting ended with a simple kiss, unassuming, but certain. It marked the beginning of a love that felt gentle, grounded, and undeniably meant to be.

Three years later, love found its next turning point. On March 12, 2025, Jums’ birthday, Mark proposed during a work trip in Boracay.

In the middle of schedules and responsibilities, he asked her to marry him at Crimson Boracay. The moment lasted barely ten minutes, but it altered the course of their lives. She said yes. “I didn’t need anything grand,” the bride said. “What mattered was that it was real. It was prayed for. It was us.”

Their wedding day unfolded like the answer to years of quiet hope. Set in a garden embraced by nature, the ceremony began not with music, but with testimony. Before vows were exchanged, the couple shared their personal journeys; how faith had healed them, shaped them, and gently led them toward one another. It was important that their guests understood not only how they fell in love, but why.

Just moments before the ceremony, dark clouds threatened the sky. The groom knelt and prayed. Almost immediately, the clouds parted. Sunlight poured through. “I felt God so clearly in that moment,” shares Mark. “It was like a reminder that we were never walking this story alone.”

Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged vows beneath open skies, their union witnessed by the people who had carried them through different seasons of life. The bride walked in radiant and certain, an image the groom says he will carry forever.

The reception that followed was intimate and warm, echoing the heart of their relationship. Elegant garden details set a relaxed tone, inviting conversation, laughter, and unhurried joy. It wasn’t about spectacle, but presence.

In the end, their wedding was more than a celebration, it was a testimony. Of love patiently built. Of faith deeply rooted. Of a beginning written by grace, and a future they now step into together.
