Henry and Meghan’s journey began unexpectedly, sparked by a mutual friend’s birthday party where fate finally brought them together. Meghan fondly recalls, “It was only after we had started dating that we found out that we had so many mutual friends, but somehow never seemed to cross paths with each other until then, when we were both single, and the universe probably figured that it was the right time for us to meet.”

Their love story took a thrilling turn when Henry proposed during a trip to the US, surprising Meghan on a cliff overlooking a picturesque beach.

The celebration of their union was as heartfelt and unique as their journey together. Inspired by their shared love for pastel colors and English garden aesthetics, the wedding theme exuded elegance and charm. Meghan explains, “Henry loves lighter colors that are ‘magaan sa paningin’ (easy on the eye), and I’ve always been a hopeless romantic with a penchant for pastels.” This choice not only reflected their personal tastes but also symbolized their positive outlook on life.

Incorporating their Chinese cultural heritage was equally important to Henry and Meghan. Traditional rituals like the bride’s hair combing and the use of symbolic items such as a red umbrella and fan added depth and meaning to their ceremony.

Meghan reflects, “All of these rituals hold symbolic meanings in Chinese wedding traditions, and we were honored to honor these thousand-year-old traditions on our special day.”

Personal touches were abundant throughout the celebration, from including their beloved Samoyed in their prenup shoot to paying homage to their grandparents during the reception.

“Family matters so much to both of us,” says Henry. “We wanted our wedding day to not only be about us but also about celebrating our roots and the people who have shaped us.”

Memorable moments abound, including unexpected delights like Rico Blanco serenading them during the after-party. “Having Rico Blanco play ‘Your Universe’ was a dream come true,” beams Meghan. “It was completely unexpected but made our night even more magical.”

What truly set their wedding apart was the hands-on approach Henry and Meghan took in planning every detail. “From choosing suppliers to designing the program flow, we were involved every step of the way,” says Henry proudly. Meghan adds with a smile, “Planning a wedding can be challenging, but it brought us closer together. We’re happy to say we never fought, and the experience only strengthened our bond.”

Their wedding was not just a celebration of love and joy but also a testament to their commitment to each other and their families. “Our theme reflected who we are as a couple,” Henry explains. “An English garden with pastel colors perfectly blended our personalities and interests.” Meghan agrees, “Everything about our wedding was uniquely ‘Henry and Meghan’, and that’s what made it truly special.”
