Mister Gay World Philippines 2024, 1st Runner-up and one of the country’s celebrated hair stylists, Lourd Ramos married his partner, Jerome recently. Finally having found his “other half,” who completes him and stands by him despite life’s chaos, Lourd feels as though he has already won the crown. Both members of the LGBTQIA+ community, Lourd and Jerome exchanged vows as they embarked on this new chapter of their lives.

In an emotional Instagram post, Lourd shared how Jerome completes every bit of him through heartfelt lyrics and metaphors:

“ ‘Met you in the season of unexpected circumstances…’

Meeting turned into a date 📅

Date turned into habits

Habitual feeling of being with each other turned ❤️, ” Lourd captioned.

“ Ikaw ang sahog ng lapaz batchoy ko,
Ang piatos at VCut ng chichirya ko,
Ang mint leaves ng mojito ko,
Ang blush on at lip gloss ng makeup ko,
At higit sa lahat, buhay ng buhay ko…’

Thank God I found you, sabi ni Mariah,
And to love you more, by Sarah G…

Mahal kita Z ❤️🌈☺️, “  he added.

Just like the blush and lip gloss in his makeup, Jerome brings color to Lourd’s life, making daily challenges bearable. They lean on each other through life’s dilemmas, forever choosing one another. For Lourd, Jerome makes him whole, and he is deeply grateful.

Their love story began at a party with casual “hi” and “hello.” Three months later, Jerome asked in their group chat who owned the resort, and fate had it that Lourd was the owner. That’s all where it started, they set up a meeting regarding the matter, and it turned out to be a meeting date as it was Jerome’s birthday that day. On that very day, they kissed and decided to date each other every single day.  It was as if the stars had aligned for them.

On their wedding day, the theme was “light and airy,” reflecting the simplicity and depth of their love. The venue was filled with white flowers and greenery – a touch of earth and air– simple yet very modern. The wedding’s overall theme and color scheme have personal significance as it plays with blue, gray, and green and these are their favorites. They celebrated their special day with their family, friends, and loved ones who witnessed Lourd and Jerome’s commitment to each other. In the end, Jerome and Lourd’s story is a beautiful reminder that love will always win.
