Karlo’s proposal in December 2022 set the wheels in motion for a wedding initially envisioned for June. However, the couple’s hectic flight schedules and the desire for an outdoor reception with European-inspired styling led them to reconsider. Amidst virtual meetings conducted across different corners of the globe, October 17, 2023, emerged as the chosen date.

As the wedding day dawned, the sun radiated a warm glow. Yet, the weather took an unexpected turn. Raindrops graced Crissiadel’s room, prompting a mix of emotions. Was it a divine blessing or her father’s joyous tears from above? Optimistic but stressed, she prayed for the weather to cooperate, clinging to the hope embedded in the egg offering made to St. Clare of Assisi.

The rain played a teasing game, stopping and starting again. Crissiadel, riding a golf cart to the aisle, fervently prayed for a clear moment. Miraculously, the rain ceased, allowing her to walk through a path adorned with white roses, leading to a chapel where her groom awaited, tears streaming down his face.

In a poignant ceremony, Crissiadel felt the absence of her father keenly. However, she vowed to make his presence felt, finding solace in the perfect post-rain weather that mirrored the bright moments in their journey. The reception unfolded seamlessly, with unconventional songs, “Everywhere” and “Byahe,” encapsulating their unique love story.

For Crissiadel, the day was a poignant reminder of 2017—a year of darkness and glimmers of hope. The small portion of blue sky became symbolic, signifying that even amidst challenges, prayers are answered, and life blossoms at the right time. Beside her that night was Karlo, the man destined to be her lifelong companion, bringing light to her world.
