The world’s most glamorous personalities from cinema and fashion converged at the eagerly-anticipated Cannes Film Festival which opened last May 8th. There was no shortage of Haute Couture and high jewelry as attendees graced various events dressed to the nines.
This year, a number of celebrities donned voluminous ballgowns in all the colors of the rainbow from Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone’s chartreuse Giambattista Valli to Danish-Thai actress Sririta Jensen’s watermelon colored Michael Cinco. White and light colored formalwear was also on trend so WE’ve gathered bridal looks spotted on the red carpet.
Priyanka Chopra
Having tied the knot in December of last year, Priyanka Chopra was every bit a bride in her frothy, tiered white tulle ballgown by Lebanese designer, Georges Hobeika. She finished off her bridal look with dazzling diamond jewelry from Chopard. As if the bridal inspo wasn’t obvious enough, Priyanka’s husband Nick Jonas sported an all-white tuxedo. The photogenic duo looked like chic cake toppers much to the delight of paparazzi.
Bella Hadid
Known for her dangerously sexy red carpet looks, model Bella Hadid went soft and ethereal this year. She wore a sheer, halter tulle gown with tiered pleating treatment by Dior from their Haute Couture Spring-Summer 201 collection. She kept her makeup minimal and fresh, accessorized with jewels from Bvlgari and shoes from Christian Louboutin.
Toni Garrn
German model Toni Garrn looked polished in her white corseted gown with a draped thigh-high slit skirt by Russian designer Ulyana Sergeenko. Brides can take styling notes from Toni with her neat middle-parted ponytail and subtle shimmery makeup. She elevated her wardrobe with multiple layers of diamond necklaces from Messika Jewelry.
Kimberley Garner
British television personality, Kimberley Garner walked the red carpet in a strapless pearl-colored gown by Dubai based design house Rami Al Ali. The impeccably structured gown featured a daring thigh-high slit and delicate folds.
Ming Xi
Victoria’s Secret model, Ming Xi, appeared on the red carpet looking luminous in a see-through gown with scattered crystal embellishments by bridal couturier Inbal Dror. The delicately feminine gown featured sweet details such as a bow, sheer puffy sleeves, and fabric covered buttons.
Camila Morrone
Striking brunette Camila Morrone, also known as Leonardo di Caprio’s girlfriend attended the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood premiere in a gorgeous, strapless ivory gown cinched at the waist with a satin ribbon by Miu Miu. The dreamy frock with its billowing skirt adorned with dramatic feathers at the hem is perfect for a romantic bride.
Min Pechaya
Thai actress Min Pechaya stunned the crowd in a regal high neck, ankle length taffeta gown by Ashi Studio. The almost ceremonial garment from the label’s Spring-Summer 2109 Couture collection called ‘Letters from Margaret’ features a gown with long sleeves, a cape and embroidered with a foliage motif.
Sonam Kapoor
Cannes regular and Bollywood superstar Sonam Kapoor doesn’t disappoint on the red carpet. For the modern bride, Sonam’s custom made Ralph and Russo could be a major style inspiration. The stunning actress wore an asymmetrically draped jacket with a two-meter train over her slim white silk trousers. She completed her look with sparkly heels from Jimmy Choo and a breathtaking statement necklace from Chopard with 155-carats of pear-shaped emeralds linked together with 91.92-carats of brilliant white diamonds.
