About Sansó
Juvenal Sansó (1929–2025), a Spanish-born artist who considered the Philippines his true home, enjoyed a seven-decade career exploring painting, printmaking, photography, textiles, and design.
Celebrated for his landscapes, florals, and expressive color, he exhibited internationally and received honors including France’s Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the Philippine Presidential Medal of Merit. His legacy continues through Fundacion Sansó’s programs for emerging artists.
