The Bohol Association of Weddings and Event Professionals or simply known as BAWEP is a dynamic SEC-accredited organization which aims to create a sense of cooperation, integration and unity within the weddings and events industry in Bohol and beyond. The establishment of this organization is rooted from the fact that this industry was the first to get impacted with the hardships and morbidity of the pandemic and is still experiencing growing pains all over again. Tourism is the economic lifeline of Bohol and with the erratic rise of Covid cases in the island, everything went on a standstill, a momentary suspended animation. That is why BAWEP birthed its first campaign to rejuvenate the ailing tourism of Bohol, the I Do Bohol Campaign. It is a series of unique onsite and online bridal fairs set outdoors.
It is a spin-off effort of the famous Behold Bohol campaign. It envisions to put Bohol back on the map as the prime wedding destination in the Philippines by reinvigorating the tourism sphere specifically targeting the weddings and events industry. Given the new circumstances we are facing, it a huge opportunity to invite potential wedding clients to chase and pursue their wedding dreams in Bohol.
