Taytay-based bridal and formal wear designer Patty Valle may be a relative newcomer having just opened her atelier in 2015, but her name is rising in the industry for her intricate and detailed creations.

Know mainly for her traditional bridal styles, Patty decided to come up with a modern and unexpected collection for Tadhana 2019 that was a bit of a departure from her aesthetic. She presented six eclectic bridal looks for brides of all ages, body types and personalities.

Her first look was puff-sleeved blazer with crystal detailing over a full-length lace gown perfect for a more mature bride who wants a bit more of cover-up and a transitional reception look.

The next look was a chic bridal jumpsuit with bow straps and a tulle train for modern brides. It’s a perfect outfit for civil ceremonies or a reception party.

Patty’s third offering was a full lace gown with a beaded tulle cape perfect for those brides who have a vintage flair.

Her fourth look is jam-packed with trends WE’re hoping to see more next year. She presented a blazer with a see-through beaded back detail giving a new meaning to the phrase “business in the front, party at the back” and paired it with super trendy palazzo pants.

One of the most interesting pieces in her collection was an asymmetric ballgown with a beaded capelet and bow detail. The silhouette is nothing new but the fabric choice was a delightful surprise. She used a sheer fabric with a houndstooth print for the gown giving lace a rest and breathing new life to a treatment associated with menswear fabric.

Her finale gown was bold and striking with her model strutting down the runway in a  strapless creation of artistically embroidered grass and wheat motifs. The gown had a dramatic train detail of manipulated layered fabric giving the back part of the dress more texture and visually appealing shapes but perhaps the most coveted accessory in her collection was her intricately beaded veil that perfectly weighed down the tulle fabric framing the model’s face with fine crystals and beads.

Overall it was a successful capsule bridal collection for Patty and her team. She was able to step out of her comfort zone while making bridal dreams turn into reality.
