It all started with a coffee box. Las Arca’s founder, Maxinne Ignacio-Liwanag, used to run a small diet delivery business back in 2017 that folded in the middle of the year. During the inventory, she noticed that there were still a lot of ingredients left to make mana cookies. Her customers loved pairing the cookies with coffee, so Maxinne had a lightbulb moment to do a coffee box. The coffee box consisted of sugar crystals she made herself, a mug she marbled herself and a decently-priced coffee press.
On her search for inspiration to come up with her own packaging design, she discovered the world of gift box solutions already proliferating in the US. She then went on a mission to find a carpenter to make wooden crates and the best paper, ribbons, and flowers to decorate the box.
