It’s one of the most exciting get-togethers prior to getting married. Bridal showers are a time to bond with the girls, and Glaiza de Castro was looking forward to enjoying one with her family and friends before she flew to United Kingdom to get married last October.
She showed some photos and videos of what happened that day over on her Instagram Stories, revealing that her sisters and mom were the ones who set up a surprise bridal shower for her at a resort. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to make it. Her driver tested positive for COVID-19, and even if she was tested negative, she opted not to attend.
So what her family did was to show what the set-up was supposed to look like, including metallic balloons that spelled BRIDE TO BE, a champagne bottle foil balloon, a lot of rose bouquets, and a cake that says “Miss to Mrs!” She cried because all she could do was look at the effort made by her family. “But things happen for a reason, dahil kung natuloy kami mag stay doon, tuluyan ko nang na-miss ang flight ko LOL.”
But her family didn’t stop there. The family brought the party set up and brought them to her condo. She thanked her family for celebrating with her. “You don’t need to have a grand set-up. The most important thing is who you are celebrating it with—no matter where you are.”
