Best friends of brides-to-be are always up for the challenge in organizing a bridal-shower-to-remember, but Jasmine Maierhofer’s bestie Kevz Gonzalez and future sister-in-law Christine “Tin” Patrimonio have outdone themselves in pulling off one fun-filled event—to think this was done during one of the most challenging times.
“It was actually a surprise,” Jasmine tells Wedding Essentials. The two even got in touch with her wedding planner Kim Torres in planning this special day for Jasmine. “They really know that I’m a beachaholic, so a beach bridal shower was the perfect theme.”
From the original plan of holding it in their resort, Tropicana Castle, in Puerto Galera, their first decision was to have it in La Union, “but Raymond, the boyfriend of Tin, offered their beach house in Silanguin Cove, Zambales.
Jasmine thought all along that this was your ordinary beach trip with her fiance Angelo Patrimonio and her future in-laws, but little did she know that the whole Patrimonio family even joined in on the surprise. Angelo’s mom, Christine, even told her that Angelo and their dad Alvin would need to stay in Manila for one more day before they follow the family to Zambales.
So Jasmine went to the agreed meeting place which was the house of the beach house host, Raymond. But when she got to the place, she was invited to have breakfast first. That’s when she noticed Joy of Nice Print Photography taking her pictures. Still trying to digest what’s going on, it was only when Kevz brought out the veil and the bride-to-be-sash that she realized that everything led them to this special day.
This first night at the private beach house was just a teaser of things to come, and they started off with wine night, bridal games with a cake by @honeyglazecakes. Her other friends and family members followed to the venue the next day.
It was three days full of fun and adventures, and Jasmine is such a chill lady that she just went with the flow. “On the island, super daming activities ang pwedeng gawin. Name it, I think they have it., like jet ski, fly board, slides, trampoline, knee boarding, flying fish, riding the ATV, hiking, and many more.”
When asked what her favorite moments were from this one-of-a-kind bridal shower, Jasmine reveals that it was when she drove the ATV. “I came across a family of locals hunting for snails for dinner, so I asked them if I could have my photos taken with them since I am going to get married soon. Another one was when the kids were playing on the inflatable slides, and when I asked for a photo with a group of guys who were taking a shower by the river,” she reminisces about how she loved that these photos were taken on a spur-of-the-moment. “Super raw!”
As for the finale, it’s the group shots taken during sunset that’s her favorite, all thanks to her friends who joined her on this very special trip. Her bridal shower was more than she ever imagined it to be. “I have the best bride squad! Super thankful and grateful for all the effort,” she says. “Most especially to Raymond. If not for him, I don’t know where we would have ended up,” she jokes.
She ends this interview with Wedding Essentials with this tip, “Let your bride squad plan it for you—surely amazing surprises await! No expectations with a lot of experiences that you’ll treasure.”
