Dream Theme: The Last Jedi

When it comes to themed weddings, we’ve seen quite a lot. From enchanting forest-themed weddings to surreal underwater weddings, the creativity that comes into wedding planning never disappoints. As with anything themed, there is a fine line between classy execution and borderline children’s birthday party. Luckily for us, there’s the internet (and Pinterest) to aid us in our decisions.

With the anticipation of Star Wars: The Last Jedi film, we can’t help but wonder whether a Star Wars themed wedding was lurking around the interweb. What we found was definitely not what we’d imagined. In 2015, Youtuber and Star Wars fanatic Jennifer Landa and her fiance Joshua got married at Loftseven Los Angeles, complete with Storm Trooper escorts. It also came as a surprise when we found out that this was the bride’s idea, not the groom’s. Thanks to their photographer Caca Santoro, we got a peek into #doublej’s wedding; and we must say, it’s by far the classiest Star Wars themed wedding we’ve ever come across.

The tiniest details matter: here’s Jennifer’s Stormtrooper belt.
This bouquet is everything. The unique arrangement involved dahlias, thistles, and succulents.

The flower girls donned Princess Leia’s belt, which we think is a totally adorable way of paying attention to detail.

Stormtroopers from the 501st legion marched at the event. If you’re not familiar with them, the 501st legion is the official organization that’s recognized by George Lucas to officially portray Star Wars characters in cosplay.

The whole reception was filled with Star Wars references.

Isn’t this cake the cutest?

If the whole wedding concept wasn’t already awesome as it is, the father of the bride had to make it even better by entering in a Darth Vader costume. We all know that the Darth Vader’s revelation that he is Luke Skywalker’s father is probably one of the most explosive plot twists of all time.

Take a cue, ladies and gents, and may the force be with you.
