Cool kids Lou Muñoz and Neil Cabawatan tied the knot in the woods in Alfonso, Cavite in a color theme we don’t see everyday: fern.
But the color theme is only the first of the many surprises in this wedding that keeps traditional elements at an arm’s length. Exhibit B is ditching the traditional bridal robe: Lou shows us that if there’s anything sexier than a silk and lace robe, it’s a boyfriend shirt. And breaking the rules wouldn’t be any fun without your best girlfriends, who wore grayscale boyfriend shirts to complement the bride’s. The reward for breaking the rules? This fun pre-wedding photo with the squad!
For this rare occasion, the men didn’t miss the chance to make a fashion statement either. Neil wore a printed long-sleeved shirt while the best men sported vintage suspenders. That’s a perfect score for styling!
What did the bride wear? Lou wore a dress by Hindy Weber that spelled V-I-N-T-A-G-E. Another thing we loved about it is the light material used for this dress that made it really sheer in all the right places despite all the layering. Contrary to big ball gowns, this is the perfect dress for an outdoor wedding in the woods.
“I personally like anything vintage. I’m definitely more into the classics rather than extravagance,” Lou tells us. “That is why Hindy Weber did such an amazing job of making my dream dress that screams ME! She used light materials like lace and tulle, which I really love, and kept the silhouette classic but very detailed.“
Now let’s talk about the bridal glam by Gery Penaso– soft, smokey, brown hues framed Lou’s doll eyes and punctuated with a rosy-nude lip.
Into the woods– just when you thought that you have to go on a destination wedding to get married in the woods, think again! Pintoresco in Alfonso, Cavite is the perfect venue to achieve the rustic outdoor wedding of your dreams.
“We both love nature and the great outdoors, so we decided to have our reception in the woods. We went for a very ‘organic’ decor and tossed in some vintage details in the midst of neutral colors. The outcome looked ethereal.“
And finally, let’s go to the reception styling: wooden chairs and tables, rattan peacock chairs, ferns on the table setup, and the wedding cake resting on a stump. Bloomwoods definitely did not miss a single detail in styling this reception.
But what really makes this wedding special is how Mr. and Mrs. Cabawatan are having too much fun celebrating their new life together, as captured in this video by Ian Cruz Films:
