Lay Bare partners with Kasuso Foundation in an initiative focused on empowerment and breast cancer awareness. This collaboration, titled “Bare Confidence: Empowering One Another,” brings together beauty and health advocacy to educate, support, and uplift individuals affected by breast cancer. Through this program, both organizations emphasize the importance of self-care and solidarity within the community, proving that beauty truly shines when it empowers others.
Lay Bare was founded by sisters Fiona and Monique Hilario in response to their unsatisfactory waxing experiences with existing services in the Metro area. They often encountered uncomfortable waxing sessions because suitable alternatives were lacking. Dissatisfied by the unsatisfactory waxing services, the Hilario sisters decided to establish a specialized waxing salon focusing on providing a comprehensive beauty experience.
“Empowerment is at the heart of everything we do at Lay Bare. From the beginning, our mission was to not only help women feel beautiful but also confident in their own skin,” Fiona Hilario, one of the founders of Lay Bare said.
“That’s what drives us every day, and it’s what this campaign stands for—empowering others, whether it’s through beauty or by supporting causes like breast cancer awareness,” she added.
Lay Bare Team
From November 15, 2024 to January 15, 2025, participating Lay Bare and Lay Bare Plus branches will hold the “Wax for a Cause” initiative. A portion of the proceeds from every Brazilian waxing service will be donated to the Kasuso Foundation, and for each Bare Confidence tote bag sold, Lay Bare will donate 50 pesos to support this cause.
“Beyond providing beauty services, we’re deeply committed to giving back to the community. Whether it’s through partnerships with foundations like Kasuso or creating campaigns that inspire confidence and courage, Lay Bare will always stand by causes that elevate and empower women,” Hilario expressed.

Meanwhile, Ms. Malou Del Rosario of the Kasuso Foundation underscored the partnership’s advocacy.
“Breast cancer has been around for years. Philippines has been, shall we say, supposedly gaining some weight of saying that we are fighting a disease and we are winning. Unfortunately, that is still a long way going. And that’s why we have to continue the fight,” Del Rosario of Kasuso Foundation shared.
Pledge of Support
“Let’s empower as many people as possible. Let’s create some way that we know that we are reaching out from barrier to the next barrier until all of those barriers are gone and we are fighting a great fight,” she added.
