Featuring Dr. Reginald “Redge” Santos and Carla Abellana

“Sometimes the bad things that happen to us in our lives put us directly on the path towards the most wonderful things that will ever happen to us. Who would have known it was still going to be us in the end? Just when I stopped looking for anything and anyone, life surprised me in the most unexpected way. It felt familiar.”— Carla

Sometimes, the difficult seasons in life quietly lead us back to where we truly belong.

For Kapuso actress Carla Abellana, love came full circle on December 27, 2025, when she married her high school sweetheart, Dr. Reginald “Redge” Santos, in an intimate ceremony at Almond Garden in Tagaytay.

Surrounded by misty skies, towering trees, and the people who mattered most, the couple sealed a love story more than 20 years in the making; one shaped by youth, separation, growth, healing, and finally, coming home.

They first met as teenagers, back when love was innocent and days felt endless. Young and hopeful, they fell in love, unaware that life had other chapters waiting. Time led them down separate paths, and like many great love stories, theirs required letting go before finding their way back. Years passed. Hearts changed. Wounds healed. And when they reconnected, it felt different, not rushed, not uncertain, but steady, familiar, and real.

Carla was as Redge remembered: kind, selfless, gentle, and deeply grounded in faith. But now, they met again as the best versions of themselves, two people who had lived, lost, learned, and grown. Their love no longer needed to prove itself. It simply existed, healthy and whole.

The wedding reflected that quiet certainty. It was simple, sincere, and deeply emotional. There were no grand displays, only meaningful glances, trembling hands, and vows that spoke of gratitude, forgiveness, and the beauty of second chances. Every detail, from Carla’s radiant smile to Redge’s teary-eyed gaze, carried the weight of a journey finally fulfilled.

For Carla, finding Redge again made life softer and brighter. The laughter came easier. Even the simplest moments, quiet nights, shared meals, long conversations, and travels felt richer. With him, love was not chaos, but comfort. Not noise, but peace.

Standing before each other, they did not just promise a future. They honored the past that shaped them and the painful “whys” that led them back to this exact moment. What once felt like heartbreak now made sense. Every step, every ending, every detour had been worth it, because it led them home.

“I was lost trying to find myself. I was lost, trying to find my way home trying to find peace, but ultimately every single step was worth it. I’m home at last.”, shares Redge.

As husband and wife, Redge and Carla begin a new chapter not as two people searching, but as two souls who found their way back, with rings on their fingers, gratitude in their hearts, and a love that waited patiently to bloom again.

This story was lovingly crafted from the couple’s vows and their same-day edit by Mayad.
