Featuring Joby & Bianca Soberano
Some love stories unfold in the most unexpected places, like on a football field. Joby and Bianca first met as teammates on the Ateneo Flag Football team. Though they hardly spoke at first, with Joby hiding his crush behind silence and Bianca giving up on conversation, fate had already begun scripting their story.

During Bianca’s last tournament, Joby finally confessed his feelings, and though Bianca admitted she only said yes because she found him handsome, it was the beginning of a bond that would endure long-distance love and time.

Five years of living oceans apart tested their relationship, until one unforgettable day in Sydney. “Joby proposed right across the Opera House,” Bianca recalled.
“It was the start of our countdown to finally ending our LDR.” After seven years together, their wedding became not just a union, but a celebration of all the little details that defined who they were.

Every element carried meaning. Their motif of navy and midnight blue paid homage to Ateneo, to blue roses gifted during college, and to the denim jacket Joby always wore in the early days of their romance.

Guests received scarves designed by Bianca herself, illustrated with wedding-inspired sketches, including a wine bottle referencing the song she walked down the aisle to—Liebesträume.
Tables were named after flowers and trees, complete with paper and pens for guests to sketch, leaving behind heartfelt keepsakes.

Bianca’s artistic eye extended to her entourage. Her Julianne Syjuco gown inspired the off-shoulder and sweetheart cuts of her bridesmaids’ Studio Ceremonie dresses, each adorned with tulle ribbons that mirrored hers.
Even the bridal bouquet carried personal touches—SVL flower jewelry charms, lovingly pinned by her friend Ginger. Their cake toppers featured Sylvanian rabbit figurines, the groom bunny’s coat dyed blue to match Joby.

The day brimmed with emotion and joy. Joby’s mother-son dance was set to Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, a childhood lullaby adapted with his name. Their choreographed first dance, what Bianca fondly called “slow dancing in the kitchen”, was both intimate and romantic.
And though a typhoon threatened their day, prayers softened it to a drizzle, clearing just in time for their church exit. “It was a miracle,” Joby said.

For the couple, their theme was more than navy and florals, it was sentimentality. “We wanted every detail to reveal more about us,” Bianca shared.

From personally designed invitations to the presence of lifelong friends and family, Joby and Bianca’s wedding was proof that true love is found not just in the big moments, but in every carefully chosen detail that makes two lives beautifully one.
