The engagement of Kenny Uy & Joyce Ong
For Kenny and Joyce, their Ting Hun was a reflection of who they are as a couple.
Blending heritage with personal style, they envisioned a celebration that felt bright, happy, and effortless. “We wanted the event to be easy on the eyes and joyful for everyone,” Joyce shared.

Inspired by the Amalfi Coast, the couple chose cheerful blue and yellow hues with chinoiserie details as a nod to their Chinese roots.
True to their individuality, their attire spoke volumes. Kenny’s suit, crafted by Common Suits, was customized down to the smallest detail, while Joyce dazzled in a radiant red gown by Vee Tan.

“I knew from the start that I wanted to wear bright red. How many times in our lives do we get to do that?” she smiled. With a long, dramatic train, Joyce made her entrance walking backwards, an unforgettable sight.

Tradition remained at the heart of their Ting Hun, with the expert guidance of Tinghun Tris ensuring rituals were honored seamlessly. From the exchange of tokens to the tea ceremony, every moment carried meaning. “It was such fun experiencing how it feels to get ‘married’ Chinese style,” Joyce said.

For the couple, food was about connection. They chose a lauriat-style menu filled with prosperity dishes, ensuring guests left full and happy. “Prosperity to us is seeing everyone smiling, eating, and having a good time,” they explained.

Later on, one detail still lingers in everyone’s memory: the refreshing scent of real lemons in the décor. “It was bittersweet when it all ended,” Joyce admitted. “It was just so beautiful.”

With hearts full of gratitude for their trusted suppliers, Kenny and Joyce now look forward to carrying the same joy into their wedding this October.
