Featuring Dave V. Moleta and Lou Veronica Canaria
Some love stories begin with friendship, and for Dave and Veronica, it all started in a Literature 2 class at Saint Louis University Maryheights Campus, Baguio, in 2015.

They were classmates, later block mates, and soon enough, confidants, bonding over music, heartbreaks, and shared dreams. “We were always teased by our classmates, but back then, I wasn’t interested yet,” Veronica recalled. That changed in January 2016, when their friendship blossomed into love.

For nearly nine years, they weathered challenges and celebrated triumphs, growing not just as a couple but as partners in life. In April 2023, Dave proposed at Liwliwa Beach, San Felipe, Zambales, with the help of Veronica’s best friends. “It wasn’t exactly my dream proposal, but he made sure to include the details I once shared with him years ago.

I loved how he pulled everything off without me noticing,” she shared. With the waves as witnesses, she said yes.
On December 18, 2024, during Dave’s birth month, and a date they carefully chose by adding their birthdates together, they tied the knot in Baguio with fewer than a hundred guests. Their theme? Formal Streetwear in coffee, chocolate, and vanilla hues, a tribute to their shared passion for thrifting and collecting sneakers.

“Streetwear has been part of our story. It was only right that it became part of our wedding, too,” Veronica explained.

The couple infused personal touches into every detail, from DIY invitations, seating charts named after brands instead of numbers, to the Jordan 1 sneakers they both wore. Guests joined in the fun, donning their best streetwear outfits paired with sneakers. Even their toast was unique: instead of wine, everyone raised cans of root beer and soda, a nod to the couple’s quirky tastes.

The celebration wasn’t without surprises. Rain began to fall just as the ceremony concluded, dampening the grounds but not their spirits. And then, as if heaven heard their prayers, the clouds parted to reveal a breathtaking sunset.

“It was the Lord’s way of reminding us that life and marriage won’t be perfect. But even in imperfections, beauty will always shine through,” Veronica reflected.

From a friendship sparked in the classroom to a wedding defined by authenticity, creativity, and faith, Dave and Veronica’s love story is a reminder that true love isn’t about perfection, but about building a life together that’s uniquely your own.
