Featuring Jehrome Adonis and Diana Nguyen

High school hallways, awkward dances, and shared classes, this is where the story of Jehrome and Diana first began. What followed was an 11-year journey that carried them from youthful encounters to a wedding day filled with meaning and joy.

“If you ask me,” Jehrome shared with a smile, “Diana asked me to TOLO because she liked me. She says it was her friend’s idea, but I don’t buy it.” Diana laughs at the memory. “Honestly, it was a free dinner at Anthony’s, so not bad,” she teased.

But the turning point came when Jehrome asked her to Winterball. “After that,” he said, “we started hanging out, and honestly, I was a little scared of her, so I just kept doing it. Eleven years later, I still am.”

Through college, careers, and milestones, their bond only deepened. When it came time to propose, Jehrome chose something meaningful to them both.

“We love visiting lighthouses,” Diana recalled. “On our 11th anniversary, after dim sum and a walk through Stanley Park, he proposed by the lighthouse. It was perfect.”

That moment, immortalized not only in memory but even on the embroidery of Jehrome’s barong, set the tone for a wedding filled with meaning and intention.

The couple chose the iconic Manila Cathedral for their ceremony. “It felt so surreal,” Diana said, “to finally walk down the aisle and say our vows there. We knew we wanted a Catholic church wedding, and not just any, but the Cathedral.”

Their reception followed an enchanted garden theme, a celebration that echoed Diana’s love for matcha with deep green accents and subtle elegance.

“We didn’t want too much gold or silver,” Jehrome explained. “We wanted nature at the center, class and elegance, but grounded.”

Even his barong carried personal touches, with delicate matcha whisks stitched into the design. Guests reveled in the atmosphere, dancing late into the night thanks to the energy of Nightcap Manila.

Looking back, the couple describes their day as nothing short of unforgettable. “We were able to engage with every one of our guests and celebrate with everyone who matters to us,” Diana reflected.

Their wedding was not just a milestone but a beautiful continuation of a love story more than a decade in the making—a love that started with awkward dances and messy backpacks, and has grown into something timeless.
