Featuring Michael Tan and Daphne Siy
Sometimes, love finds you when you’re not looking. For Michael and Daphne, their story began unexpectedly. Two people going about their lives, suddenly finding something they didn’t know they needed.

“There weren’t overwhelming nerves or butterflies, it just felt easy, natural, and right,” Daphne shares.

That effortless comfort, felt even on their first casual dinner date, became the foundation of their relationship. Whether exploring new restaurants or simply enjoying quiet moments together, they discovered joy in the everyday.

Years later, on a cherry blossom-filled day at Katsuoji Temple in Japan, Michael proposed. “I had a feeling something special was coming,” Daphne recalls with a smile.
“He kept asking what to wear in case there were ‘nice photo spots.’” Beneath the soft pink petals, surrounded by stillness, he asked the question that would change their lives. “It was simple, thoughtful, and perfect.”

On June 22, 2025, they exchanged vows at Santuario de San Antonio, incorporating traditional Chinese customs to honor their heritage. Daphne wore a bracelet gifted by her parents—“a small but meaningful reminder of their love and support,” she says.

Their reception at Shangri-La at the Fort was a vision of elegance and timelessness. Without a fixed theme, they chose to let classic style lead the way. “We wanted something we’d still love decades from now,” Daphne explains.

From a graceful first dance that shifted into a playful family number, to a tiramisu tower symbolizing their shared love, coffee for her, cream for him, every element reflected their story.

If Daphne could sum up the day in one word, it would be bliss. “Right after the ceremony, we slipped away for a moment, just the two of us. No cameras, no pressure. That quiet pause was everything.”
The laughter, the love, and the unfiltered joy from those they hold dearest turned a beautiful day into something unforgettable. “We only wish we could relive it all over again,” Daphne says. And in every memory, they will.
