From moonlit beginnings to a regal ‘I Do’

Featuring Jose Gabriel P. Teves IV and Claudine Timola

A love story years in the making, Gab and Claudine’s journey began with a touch of fate, and the gentle nudge of a very determined matchmaker.

“We like to say that fate, and a very proactive mom, brought us together,” Claudine shares with a laugh. Gab elaborates, “Claudine was my mom’s pageant queen from my dad’s hometown in Baras, Catanduanes.

One day, my mom asked me to accompany her on a courtesy visit to my dad’s office in Congress, only to ‘cancel’ last minute. When we arrived, she was already there. With no lunch prepared, Claudine and I had to go out and eat together. It was awkward, but it was the beginning of something special.”

Years later, on a trip to El Nido, Claudine sensed a proposal coming—but didn’t know when or how. “I dressed up every day, just in case,” she admits.

“There was a sunset cruise that felt like the moment, but he didn’t do it. I let my guard down.”

Gab, always the planner, saved the best for last. “I wanted it to be perfect,” he says. “The final evening was a private beach dinner with rose petals, live music, and a ring. When she said yes, I became the happiest man alive.”

The wedding that followed was a reflection of their shared love for elegance and intention. Claudine had long envisioned a regal theme in deep burgundy, a nod to a childhood memory as a flower girl.

Gab was immediately on board. “Instead of a floral ceiling, we hung 76 chandeliers. And we built an 80-foot black mirror aisle that stretched across two ballrooms, very K-drama.”

Claudine’s bridal march song, “Moon River,” was a tribute to her late mom. “It was her ringtone on her old Nokia. Walking down the aisle to it felt like bringing her with me.” She was escorted by two aunts who helped raise her.

Gab notes, “It was a powerful moment that showed the strength she comes from.”

Their shared love for storytelling came to life through visuals—wedding films, a relationship gallery with POV captions, and an LED wall that transformed the venue into a personal theater.

Even their first dance was a full-circle moment, set to their song, “Sa Ilalim ng Buwan,” sung live by Arthur Miguel under a glowing digital moon.

“Our wedding dance was the most memorable moment. The day we first met, we attended a town fiesta in Baras, Catanduanes. We shared a quiet moment under the moon and stars, talking about our lives and getting to know each other. It was simple, but meaningful.”, shares Gab.

What made it truly unique was how hands-on the couple was. From writing voiceovers to scripting video narratives, designing place cards, choosing banquet seating, and adding playful touches like advice boxes and a red carpet, everything was deeply personal.

“We didn’t want a generic wedding,” Claudine says.

“We wanted it to feel like us—classy, romantic, intentional.” Gab adds, “It wasn’t just about a grand celebration. It was about building something that told our story, together.”
