Ethan and Jessica’s journey began with a serendipitous twist of fate, orchestrated by mutual friends at Macquarie University. Bonding over shared Friday nights and weekend escapades in Sydney, their connection deepened effortlessly, paving the way for a love story destined to unfold.

The proposal, a culmination of their shared resilience during the pandemic, unfolded against the picturesque backdrop of Blues Point Reserve. Jessica recalls, “I had no idea our loved ones were nearby, ready to celebrate with us. It was pure magic.”

Their wedding, a vibrant tapestry of Filipino and Australian cultures, celebrated their union in a deeply personal way. “Ethan embraced my Filipino heritage wholeheartedly,” Jessica shares proudly. The event featured nods to both cultures, from stunning Australian native flowers adorning the photowall to exquisite Hunter Valley wines served to guests.

Central to the celebration were deeply personal elements, such as Jessica wearing her mother’s wedding gown, a testament to family and tradition. “It felt like stepping into a legacy of love,” she reflects.
The couple also incorporated a symbolic heirloom, their wedding cord passed down from Jessica’s cousin, symbolizing intertwined lives and future generations to come. “It’s a reminder of the enduring bonds we share,” Ethan remarks.

Reflecting on their relationship’s milestones, Jessica highlights their shared love for quiet evenings and family gatherings, cherished moments echoed throughout their wedding day. “It was intimate yet grand,” Ethan adds, recalling the heartfelt speeches and unexpected moments that made their day unforgettable.
One such moment was their entrance into The Manila Peninsula, greeted by cheers from guests and hotel patrons alike. “It felt like a celebration of love embraced by everyone,” Jessica recalls fondly.
Their wedding theme, elegant and timeless, reflected their personalities perfectly. “We wanted an atmosphere that was both grand and intimate,” Ethan explains. With DJ Tony Toni setting the tone, the evening flowed seamlessly, creating a warm and inviting ambiance.
