Featuring Francis Paul Castro and Myka Joy Abadilla

From a chance Instagram story in 2018 to a soul-stirring celebration in Tagaytay seven years later, the love story of Francis Paul Castro and Myka Joy Abadilla is proof that destiny doesn’t just happen—it blooms, slowly and beautifully, like spring.

“I remember seeing her in a mutual friend’s story and feeling instantly drawn,” Paul once shared. That one message sparked years of laughter, music, road trips, and shared dreams.

The proposal was as heartfelt as their journey. “Paul planned everything so thoughtfully,” Myka recalls.

“I thought he was out playing golf, but when I walked into the lounge, there he was—down on one knee with a bouquet and the most delicate ring. We just cried. It was perfect.”

Though both were raised in the UK, they knew from the start that their wedding had to be in the Philippines. “It just felt right,” says Myka. Spring, their favorite season, inspired the theme: “The Season We Became: Love Blooming Through Woven Days of Spring.”

With event stylist Moki Gray’s gentle touch, the celebration took on a soft, romantic palette—pastels, florals, and poetic details that reflected the couple’s grace and spirit.

Held at the breathtaking Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Tagaytay, their ceremony was deeply personal.

“Sharing our vows before Mama Mary’s chapel, surrounded by people who flew across the world to be there—it was overwhelming in the best way,” Myka says.

The celebration was filled with moments only they could have crafted. Paul’s custom Piña shifu barong featured illustrated tributes to their shared hobbies and their beloved cat, Tala. Myka wore two custom looks: a floral-embroidered gown by Riad Hans and an organza-skirted two-piece by Juliana Studios.

Music, a central thread in their relationship, filled the day. From the tender violin rendition of “Only Hope” to their grand entrance to “I Choose You” by Mario—with Paul holding whisky and Myka, the shot glasses—their soundtrack was a love letter in itself.

There were spontaneous serenades, emotional parent dances, and a surprise twist: three couples dancing, each representing generations of enduring love.

“Everything felt so us—light, intentional, and full of joy,” Myka reflects. “We wanted our wedding to feel like spring: a beginning, a blooming. And it truly was.”
