From a childhood dream to a flourishing career in fashion design, Marc Soliven Ngan’s journey is a testament to passion, perseverance, and the power of mentorship. “I’ve always been drawn to the allure of the fashion industry,” Marc reflects, recalling how his postgraduate studies in Fashion opened doors to a decade-long tenure in various retail giants. “These experiences weren’t just about honing my skills; they were about the invaluable mentorship that shaped my craft and ignited my desire to give back.”

Driven by a profound sense of gratitude, Marc is committed to empowering others through his talent. “My goal is to help aspiring talents reach their full potential,” he shares warmly. “Whether through training programs or hands-on guidance, I want to pay forward the opportunities that were once given to me.”
Signature Style and Aesthetic
Marc’s designs are a symphony of elegance and sophistication, anchored by his love for French laces and Mikado silk. “French lace, with its intricate patterns and delicate allure, speaks to timeless romance,” he explains. “When combined with the structured grace of Mikado silk, each gown becomes a masterpiece—a perfect blend of tradition and modern allure.”

His fondness for bridal and classic formal wear stems from a deep appreciation for refined beauty. “These designs resonate with strength and grace,” Marc notes. “Yet, I’m always eager to innovate, seeking new avenues to enrich my craft.”

Memorable Projects and Inspirations
One of Marc’s most cherished projects was crafting gowns for the De Castro family’s Filipiniana-themed wedding during the pandemic. “It was more than designing; it was building a bond with clients who became family,” he reflects warmly. “Their trust in me not only made the wedding a success but also enabled me to establish my own store in Manila.”

The experience reinforced Marc’s belief in collaboration and trust. “It’s about nurturing relationships,” he emphasizes. “From clients to suppliers like Sweet Comfort Events, these connections are the heart of my journey.”
Staying Inspired
“To stay relevant, you must embrace evolution,” Marc advises aspiring designers. “Experimentation is key—whether with fabrics, techniques, or styles. It’s through these explorations that we find our voice and redefine boundaries.”

Marc’s advice to those entering the industry is simple yet profound: “Embrace failure as part of growth. Be bold, be playful in your creations. Every setback is a stepping stone to greatness.”

Marc Soliven Ngan’s story is one of resilience, creativity, and unwavering dedication. As he continues to shape dreams into reality, his journey reminds us that true success lies in both artistic vision and heartfelt collaboration—a testament to the enduring spirit of the fashion industry.
