Featuring Jhon Levin Lim and Andrea Santos
Levin and I first crossed paths in the vast expanse of Facebook. As I navigated my role in the real estate industry, I routinely received friend requests from brokers and agents. When Levin added me, I assumed he was another colleague and accepted without much thought. Little did I know that his persistent “hi” and “hello” messages would change my life.
At first, I moved his messages to my ignored folder. However, after a few days, curiosity led me to check my spam folder, and there was Levin, at the top. His unwavering attempts at conversation intrigued me, and I finally replied. Initially, Levin seemed too serious and lacking in humor, but I decided to give him a chance and went out with him a few times, often with friends. Then, suddenly, I ghosted him.
Fast forward to October 2022, just before Levin was set to launch his new business. He began sharing his designs with me, and I promised to visit once his shop opened. Our communication intensified, drawing us closer together.
The proposal was on December 30, 2023, at Blackbird, during what I thought was an ordinary dinner. As the year-end approached, I didn’t expect any surprises. After a lovely evening, we prepared to leave, but Levin had other plans. He spoke with the restaurant staff about proposing, and as we paused to take photos by the door, Levin knelt and asked the question that changed everything.
For our wedding, we chose a vibrant pastel theme, a nod to my love for bright colors. These hues added vibrancy to our celebration, making it lively and joyous. The preparations were incredible, from the elaborate ceremony setup to the interview with Treehouse, where our story was shared with everyone. Walking down the aisle was a truly magical moment, filled with love and excitement. Although we planned a TikTok dance, knowing Levin’s dislike for dancing, we opted to skip it, cherishing the moments as they came.
Our wedding theme, though more reflective of my taste, symbolized the lively and colorful journey of our relationship.
