Featuring Joshua Cordoves and Patch Magtanong
In 2019, while the vibrant world of modeling was thriving, Josh and his future bride, Patch, first crossed paths through their agency. Their initial interaction was professional, but it wasn’t until Josh bravely slid into her Instagram DMs that their connection truly blossomed. Josh often reflected on this moment, thanking God every day for the courage to send that first message. From there, their relationship grew, and they found themselves on an unforgettable journey together.
By 2022, their love had deepened, and they embarked on their first European adventure. It was during this trip, in the romantic city of Amsterdam, that Josh proposed, sealing their commitment in a place that symbolized their shared passion for exploration and discovery.
When it came time to plan their wedding, the couple’s love for travel and the bond they shared with their friends and family made a destination wedding in Bali the perfect choice. They envisioned a celebration where they could not only say their vows but also spend quality time with their loved ones in one of their favorite places. Bali, with its stunning ocean views and serene atmosphere, offered the ideal backdrop for the cliffside wedding the bride had always dreamed of. They chose the Ayana Resort in Jimbaran for its breathtaking beauty and natural elegance, wanting the venue itself to shine.
The couple’s minimalist approach to styling allowed the venue’s natural beauty to take center stage. Elegant white flowers adorned the space, enhancing the dreamy ambiance without overwhelming it. Their guests, dressed in garden formal attire, added splashes of color that complemented the tranquil setting. Even the mismatched bridesmaids’ dresses, in vibrant, bright colors, came together in perfect harmony, capturing the fun and carefree spirit of Bali.
Despite meticulous planning, the unexpected struck just days before the wedding. Typhoon Carina swept through the Philippines, disrupting flights and leaving the couple anxious about whether their guests would make it to Bali. Yet, their loved ones proved their devotion by overcoming numerous obstacles—rebooking flights, enduring long layovers, and navigating through the chaos—all to ensure they could be there for this special moment. Out of 160 invited guests, 150 arrived, a testament to the love and support surrounding the couple.
Their wedding, held on July 26, 2024, became more than just a celebration of love. It was a weekend filled with laughter, gratitude, and the joy of being surrounded by loved ones who had gone above and beyond to be there. The couple’s resilience and their guests’ unwavering dedication turned what could have been a stressful situation into a weekend they would never forget, making their Bali wedding truly unique.
