After facing the tumultuous challenges brought about by the pandemic, our wedding journey became a testament to resilience and the unwavering strength of love. The rollercoaster of uncertainties led us to redefine our celebration, culminating in an intimate Lake Como wedding that exceeded all expectations.
Our initial plans for a grand celebration were thwarted not once, not twice, but three times due to the pandemic. Faced with the unpredictability of the situation, we decided to forge ahead with a civil wedding and an intimate celebration in Manila three years ago. Little did we know that this experience would be a precursor to a more profound and extraordinary celebration in Lake Como.
When the moment finally arrived, and we were certain that our Lake Como celebration was set in stone, it felt like a surreal bliss. The trials and tribulations of the past years melted away as we embraced the joy of anticipating a gathering filled with love and shared moments. The mantra became, “Whatever will be, will be,” relieving us of stress, expectations, and unnecessary pressure.
The enchanting backdrop of Lake Como provided the perfect canvas for our three-day celebration. Freed from the constraints of a traditional wedding, we immersed ourselves in a whirlwind of activities, dancing in the rain, engaging in various sports, swimming in the serene lake, and relishing picturesque picnics amidst the grandeur of Como’s villas and gardens.
Gathering 120 cherished guests from 15 different corners of the world, our wedding became a global reunion, uniting friends and family who hadn’t seen each other in years. The first day unfolded with a surprise lake tour and a boat party aboard the oldest steamboat on the lake, The Concordia.
Adding an extra layer of magic to our celebration, we enlisted exceptional entertainment groups, with the added touch of collaboration from our talented family and friends. Their contributions transformed our special day into an unforgettable symphony of love and joy.
What set our intimate three-day affair apart was the opportunity for genuine connections. With everyone leaving the lake having forged meaningful bonds, our hearts swelled with gratitude. Witnessing our loved ones from different phases of life come together, laugh, and create lasting memories was the ultimate reward.
In the end, our Lake Como wedding wasn’t just a celebration of love. It was a testament to endurance, adaptability, and the profound impact of shared moments. As we navigated the challenges and uncertainties, we discovered that love truly prevails, creating a narrative that transcends the boundaries of time and space.
