An advocate of Philippine culture, Happy Andrada launches her One of a kind Gown and Bridal Robe collection called Harana. The designer took inspiration on the modern Filipino courtship (ligawan) with creations named after Filipino words such as Harana, Kilig, Kundiman, Ligawan, Sinta, Tadhana, Iniibig, etc. A marriage of modernism and tradition, Happy Andrada created Barong bomber jacket, coat, blazer and dresses and also did a contemporary take on traditional outfits such as the Mestiza, Terno, Camisa and Patadyong.
The creations are made with Organdy, Silk, Lace and paired it with Philippine woven Pineapple fabrics that features hand embroidery techniques from Lumban, Laguna. By using locally sourced materials, she is able to support Filipino skilled artisans that produce these specially made fabrics.
The limited collection is available at happyandrada.com. Happy Andrada offers Bespoke creations and has her ready to wear outfits available at Fashion Art Atelier located in 24 K-D corer K-1st, Kamuning, Quezon City.
