When makeup artist Denise Ochoa posted breathtaking photos of bride Maja Salvador before she walked the aisle to get married, we knew we had to ask for more details on how to pull off this radiant look.
Denise revealed that they started around 9:00 a.m. to get ready for the 4:30 p.m. wedding ceremony. “Nothing heavy since it was going to be a really long day,” she tells Manila Bulletin Lifestyle.
For the skin prep, Aivee Crystal Mask, La Mer Treatment Lotion, Guerlain Abeille Royale Advanced Youth Watery Oil were used. Cle De Peau Correcting Cream Veii was applied as base, with Shiseido Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation as the next step and Laura Mercier Loose Powder and Dior Backstage Powder
Both the bride and the makeup artist agreed that they wanted a look that’s naturally flushed. “We used natural-looking blush shades,” explains Denise. She used Dior Backstage in Rosewood and Coral as blush and Dior Couture Luminizer Pink Glow as highlighter.
Eyes were defined with Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow eyeshadow Stick in Taupe as base, Tom Ford Eyeshadow Quad in Nude Dip and Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Eyeshadow in PillowTalk to color the eyelids. Eyes were lined with Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Sepia Ink, with mascara from Artdeco Twist for Volume. GRWM Brow Lift, Anastasia Brow Wiz in Soft Brown, and Strokes Microblade Pen Perfector in Ash Grey were used to groom the brows.
Lips were lined with Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk, tinted with Dior Lip Tattoo in 351 Natural Nude, added shine with Dior Addict Refillable Shine Lipstick in 418 Beige Oblique. Denice explains why she picked these three lip products, “Just a shade deeper than her actual lip color to give that bitten lip effect. We want to bring out her natural bridal glow.”
