As we are faced with the realities of the most challenging times, one can only be hopeful and brave to move ahead, and do what has to be done. Tedious as it may always be, WE devoted the same passion in the production of this issue.
WE adore beautiful weddings, in this case we have 35 real couples who shared their love stories and their journey to I do!
I can’t help but embrace every story we read of every couple’s loving ways through this crisis and the road to slowly opening up events. All with a happy ending even at its intimate setting.
Within our pages you will find messages of hope from our loyal suppliers and partners who are always one with us in our vision in making unforgettable memories.
I hope that you will continue to support the wedding industry as it gets bigger and better every day.
For me and WE I am one in celebrating over 50 issues in 18 years. Every issue, amazingly inspiring. A very good reason to go on and on. — Kitten Zapata, Publisher and Editor-at-Large
Love in the City
There’s something extra romantic about weddings set in the city.
In the middle of the hustle and bustle, we are invited to be still as we bear witness to a very special union by two souls. A promise to forever, a vow to take care of each, a pledge to grow old together and to love and respect one another.
For the newlyweds’ family and friends, this special occasion is a welcome interruption as we continue to go about our busy lives. Watching them get married serves as a reminder of how love should be and what it is really all about—that despite how the world keeps moving and changing, love remains to be constant.
And it can be found anywhere and everywhere, if you just learn to stay still. This is why weddings in the city are always special. It reminds us to “stop and smell the flowers,” and to appreciate the people who are with us in this journey. Flip through our pages and see for yourself how our fashion editorials such as the one shot by Doc Marlon Pecjo can bring out forgotten feel-good emotions of how love can be found even in the simplest locations.
Be inspired with our selection of real weddings where each couple shared their love story through its many ups and downs, especially during the earlier months of 2022 where Covid-19 still put many people at risk. Their love stories proved that love wins—all the time. — Jane Kingsu-Cheng, Editor-in-Chief
