Celebrating its 13th anniversary, Casa Bella Home & Living took it up a notch by releasing a handful of artworks that visual artist Jinggoy Buensuceso made just for the luxury European furniture studio. The collection is named dis/order: the way of the cosmos. “It’s all about the infinite folds of the universe and how we are all deeply connected to it,” explains the artist. “The universe is forever evolving and unfolding in an infinite sequence which presents us with unfamiliar landscapes. This repeated occurrence becomes therapeutic to our body and soul such that this seemingly disrupted reality slowly becomes our chrysalis, our cosmos.”
But they did more than just launch the collection, the thanksgiving party was a multi-sensorial one with contemporary performer Ea Torrado dancing to a ritual as they officially opened the exhibit. Each of the ribbon cutters were also asked to join the Origami folding ceremony, with each fold representing a wish. Guests were then invited to go through each floor of the showroom, giving them an idea of how to cohesively make Casa Bella’s furniture pieces work with Buensuceco’s.
Interior stylist Glenn Cuevo worked his magic, inspiring guests on how they can make artworks part of their homes.
Casa Bella’s Stephanie Coyiuto also shared how this collaboration started, “I would see his works in my good friend’s homes,” she shares. “When I reached out to him, we realized that we had the same passion in connecting people to a world of design through different methods.”
Casa Bella offers a complete portfolio of luxuriously curated European furniture from the world’s leading brands—Cassina, Kettal, Henge, Moroso, Tapis and more.
Managing Directors, who happen to be husband and wife as well, Joseph Tay and Stephanie Coyiuto-Tay joined Bea Soriano on stage where Joseph thanked the guests for joining them that evening. “For over a decade, we have been dedicated to bringing into focus the quality of lifestyle inside one’s home. In thanksgiving for your trust and support, Casa Bella is committed to further elevate the Filipino home by collaborating with other creators who have the same passion for art and design,” started Joseph Tay.
His wife Stephanie Coyiuto-Tay adds, “We, at Casa Bella, are so honored to celebrate our good friend, sculptor and visual artist Jinggoy Buensuceso today, in this spirit of collaboration. For years, we have curated and represented the world’s most iconic and innovative brands. Today, we fulfill a dream of connecting friends to Jinggoy’s world view that brings to life Philippine culture, art, history, and community.”
She reminisces on how they started working together, “This partnership developed from one small idea to the next, until the whole concept was formed. We saw the dedication Jinggoy shows in each piece, and how unique each piece was carefully handcrafted.”
*Dis/Order: The Way of the Cosmos will be on display from November 25 until December 18 at Casa Bella showroom in 8 Jupiter St., Makati.
