Photographer Shaira Luna is known for her ukay finds, and she stays true to her vintage looks—even on her wedding day.

In an interview with Shaira, she admitted that she didn’t really plan for her wedding ensemble. “I was just going to use one of my vintage dresses, but my friend saw one in an kay that I thought would be cuter!” The vintage ankle-length dress in textured fabric with ruffled details on the hemline, neckline, and torso which they found in The Jones Archive in La Union. She also wore a vintage half cap from Glorious Diaz with her Ninang Dimples Romana securing it.

Held last August 12 at Ilustrado restaurant ballroom, the newlyweds had both their wedding ceremony and reception at the same venue. “It was transformed into an old-world living room by my good friend, constant collaborator and set designer Justine Arcega Bumanlag,” Shaira adds.

Shaira Luna is now married to Cocoy Aranas, revealing that they never really planned on getting married—”or having a wedding celebration, so I just organized it as though I was producing a photo shoot.”
