Nothing evokes contemplation and enchantment quite like a traipse through the woods. The combined, heady elements from nature reinvigorate the senses and make for an atmospheric backdrop that sparks the imagination.

Drawing inspiration from charming woodlands teeming with vibrant flora, event stylists Allen Uy and JP de Jesus of Blooms 2710 created a setup that captures the untamed appeal of a lush forest, albeit on a significantly streamlined scale.

Situated atthe 17th floor of Clark Marriott Hotel’s Smoki Moto restaurant, Blooms Event Styling’s setup overlooks the scenic hills of Clark, elevating the woodsy theme. Clark Marriott’s plush hotel ambience also complements the temporary oasis of abundant flower arrangements, reminiscent of a storybook setting.

Blooms Event Styling’s woodland-themed reception is centered around a massive table made of a hefty slab of polished wood with black frame, accompanied by matching high-backed chairs with dark leather upholstery.

The masculine vibe is tempered by a profusion of flowers in various arrangements, from the centerpiece to the backdrop. Bouquets of purple, peach, red, fuchsia, and white Ecuadorian roses in textured vases dot the table, along with plum Hydrangeas, violet tulips, Misty flowers, Gypsophilas, Eryngiums, red Calla lilies, Lisianthus, Carnations and Eucalyptus leaves.

Various-sized white candles in vintage speckled glass votive and ceramic candle holders provide mood lighting, along with slim candlesticks on gold, tree-like candelabras and miniature black lanterns. Miniature tree trunks act as table accents, echoing the light fixture, which is made of a block of wood, strung with industrial lightbulbs hanging over the table.

Huge black lanterns with rose gold detailing provide additional décor, along with the backdrop. Made of black steel that’s propped up against a bigger, white frame with a diamond pattern, the makeshift backdrop resembles a garden trellis adorned with a heart-shaped, neon pink fluorescent light framed with two floral half wreaths.

For the tableware, Blooms Event Styling kept things simple and straightforward. The dishware consists of a glass dinner plate paired with standard white salad plates, along with silver cutlery and wineglasses. The stationery comes courtesy of CraftedbyDQ, which consists of the invitation suite and table setting cardsthat echo the woodland theme. Switching from the usual warm, rustic shades associated with outdoor themes, CraftedbyDQ’s color scheme uses cooler tones composed of emerald green and grey. The entire set features a cohesive and contemporary design, with modern calligraphy and organic foliage done in watercolor brush strokes.

Providing a warmer contrast are the tent name cards made of kraft paper, evoking a homespun quality that exudes a welcoming vibe to the reception’s guests.

Adding to the festive mood is the wedding spread, courtesy of Clark Marriott Hotel’s Executive Chef Jan Broz. The sumptuous meal began with Prawn & Bisque Arancini, Smoked Paprika Dressing, followed by Norwegian Smoked Salmon, Carrot, Asparagus, Roasted Garlic Aioli Dressing, Grilled Beef Tenderloin, Forest Mushroom Jus, Parmesan Cheese Whipped Potatoes, Eggplant Caponata and Espresso Tiramisu.

The sweet conclusion came in the form of the wedding cake, courtesy of The Caking Giant. An elegant, 4-tiered confection covered in shades of gray, the cake sits regally on a marble pedestal, mounted on top of a golden table. It is adorned with a sugar black mesh that is decorated with an ascending arrangement of all-sugar red roses, violet Hydrangeas, red Amaranthus, black berries, and assorted foliage, echoing the setup’s floral arrangements.
