Before WE reveal our final cover, here’s a special weekend fashion feature. Wedding Essentials Magazine talked to one of the most celebrated fashion and bridal designers of our time, Michael Leyva.
For fashion designer Michael Leyva, weddings are meant to be “magical.” And that’s what he envisioned for his latest bridal collection. Here are some of them.
Wide-pleats give this billowy skirt a new and updated look. The finely beaded feathers all around make this a shimmery delicate gown to wear from ceremony to reception.
Even the big cascading bow is in bias pleats and increasingly big increments.
This sheer gown in asymmetrical neckline ups the ante with three-dimensional floral aplique. This is definitely for the ultra-feminine woman.
Don’t be fooled by this off-shoulder satin gown in classic cut. It’s definitely worth a second look with its intricate lace texture veil.
“I am always inspired by stories of my real #michaelleyvabride,” Michael Leyva tells Wedding Essentials. “I always wanted to make something that best describes their dream wedding.” And what a dream this bridal couture collection is which is made possible by photographer Oly Ruiz, Erron Ocampo, Kerwin Francis, videography by Rommel Nicolas, makeup by Paolo Maranan, hairstyling by Jaime Sy, flowers by Teddy Manuel, shoes by Shoepatos, and Empire/Mercator models Dinara Abdulina, Jana Ogladina, and Emilio Francisco.
The fashion designer also has a lot in store these last two quarters of the year. “I’m working on my Dubai Fashion Week Show on October 28, and first ever physical live fashion show in Manila on November 13.” We can’t wait!
