Fleur De Karina bloomed in the midst of the pandemic in January 2021. Founders Marian Joy B. Favila and Karen B. Salarda had that love for flowers, dried flowers to be exact. They researched and studied the business structure; from comparing supplier’s costs to importing the flowers from China, and it wasn’t an easy journey.
Even though sola flowers are stronger than real flowers, they’re still delicate and can get damaged with rough handling. Sola flowers are made from natural wood and need to breathe. Karen, Marian and their aunt found a way to improve its sturdiness and aesthetics. Now, even florists and event stylists order from them.
Another good thing about Fleur De Karina is that they taught and hired women in their area to make sola flower arrangements that also helped their livelihood. To-date, they have 34 designs to choose from.
