Cooking For Two

If you just got married or planning to start a new life together you have to consider a lot of things. First, merging homes, and when you finally settle in, here comes the “home tasks”. Every couple should talk about how to build the home together. From budget planning, who will do the cleaning? the laundry? and most importantly, who will cook for two?

WE found an easy and yummy way to help you prep your food at home. KooKit Manila is the first customizable food kit delivery service in Manila that allows you to pick from a new menu every week. Given the pandemic and everybody’s busy schedules, they offer a solution to every household’s weekly meal planning and consumption needs. Kookit wish to make home-cooking hassle-free, more fun and delicious by taking away the burden of meal planning, grocery shopping and some initial prepping.

How does it work?

Basically, a customer picks three (3) to five (5) dishes from their 10-dish weekly menu and they deliver the freshly sourced, portioned ingredients and the recipes straight to your homes. Depending on the household’s needs, you can choose between two (2) or four (4) servings per dish, and from a minimum of three (3) to a maximum of five (5) meals per order. To add excitement to home-cooking, they offer a menu of 10 dishes which is refreshed weekly. This means that you won’t even have to beat your brains out figuring out what to cook again for the week and can pretty much cook a different dish as much as you like and not be limited to the usual home-cooked staples. With this feature as well, they are aiming to get regular customers knowing that they have something new to look forward to every week. Keeping everyone’s busy schedules in mind, their recipes are designed to be quick and easy, averaging only 30 minutes for the whole cooking process. Yes, it is true because WE tried it ourselves!

In the spirit of keeping it all stress-free, all orders and payments are easily done online through their website kookitmnl.com. The pricing is also friendly and they managed to keep it as low as P135/meal. The cheapest package of 3 meals, 2 servings each only costs P1,000. The package with the most inclusions on the other hand, with 5 meals, 4 servings each only costs P2,700. This is of course apart from the fact of having zero wasted or spoiled ingredients making it more cost-effective.

With everyone’s wish to keep health and nutrition for them and their family a top priority, especially during these times, KooKit provides a perfect solution that is safe, easy and affordable. Freshly cooked meals from fresh produce and ingredients beat overpriced take-outs and deliveries any day. An added bonus, cooking has also proven to be a fun learning activity parents and kids can do together. And of course sharing a delicious meal at home has been tried and tested to bring families closer. (WEAdvertorial)
