Enjoined with a common vision to put young and up coming designers in the forefront of Philippine fashion, Fashion Designer’s Alliance (Fadal) will be celebrating its 10th year anniversary with a bang. Cementing their decade-long organization, Fadal founder and Creatur-in-chief Levenson Rodriguez said that on March 11, they would show their appreciation to Fadal alumni Cherry Veric, Ziggy Savella, Nat Manilag, Cheetah Rivera, Milka Quin, Oz Go, Mark Tamayo, Ulysses King, Santi Obcena, Chris Jasler of Jail Jeans, Gerswin Qua, Tony Evan, Rencie Santos, Dave Ocampo, and Mara Chua to name some as well as previous officers Happy Andrada (President, 2009), Jaz Cerezo (President, 2012), Mikee Andrei (President, 2015) and Dauson Bermtay (Senior Designer Head, 2018).
The night of partying at Revel at the Palace would also serve as welcome party to their latest members, FaDAL Baguio and FaDAL Mindanao “And to mark our 10th year in the industry I’ve searched far to discover more talented fashion designers whose fashion ingenuity deserves to be noticed, giving them representation here in Manila,” Rodriguez said. “We are the first fashion group in the country to give designers from Baguio and different part of Mindanao the opportunity to make a difference in the Philippine fashion scene,” he added. The fashion young bloods, Rodriguez firmly believed, would soon create waves. “These new members are the future of the fashion industry. They are driven and by joining Fadal, they can enjoy guidance from some of the highly-respected names in the country to create unique and breath-taking designs,” Rodriguez said. Aside from that, the momentous occasion would be made more meaningful, the 10th-year celebration will also serve as fund raising for Frederick Peralta, one of the icons of the Philippine fashion industry. ” We wanted to give back to one of the designers who surely inspired many young generation of fashion designers,” he said. Further, V.S Vizcarra will display all Fadal’s current and previous members for a month after the event. Part of the sales would go to Frederick Peralta.
