Jas Cerezo recently unveiled her very first bridal collection and WE are beyond thrilled! Since appearing as one of the contestants of the very first edition of Project Runway Philippines, Jaz has evolved into an industry favorite with her sensual yet tasteful creations.
Having a successful career in fashion for more than a decade and with several collections under her belt, it was only a matter of time for the celebrated designer to come up with her own bridal collection. First presented at Panumpa: Cebu Wedding Expo held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino last October, her collection drew rave reviews for its luxe minimalist appeal.
“I imagined timeless pieces in modern times”, she shares.
Jaz’s bridal collection has all of her design philosophy and aesthetic on display. Silhouettes were kept classic and feminine with notable looks such as a modern ballgown with sharp side cuts and a halter piece with a dramatic arrangement of soft flounces cascading down the back of the dress. All of the showpieces were made using luxurious Mikado Silk, giving each garment a subtle pearl-like sheen perfect for showcasing Jaz’s clean lines and soft drapes.
Her commitment to meticulous garment construction is evident as each piece is seamlessly crafted, cut close to the body following its natural curves and contours resulting in an impeccable fit for the wearer.
Just like her personal style and her coveted designs, Jaz’s bridal collection is uncomplicated and sophisticated. The pieces may be unadorned with embellishments but its simplicity makes it more versatile.
