In the latest issue of Wedding Essentials Magazine, you will find celebrity and bridal makeup artist MJ Bornales in the pages of Real Bride, Real Beauty. Soon, MJ will be the one sitting in the makeup chair instead of the other way around. The question everyone’s begging to ask is: Will she be doing her own makeup?
MJ shares that she will be doing two weddings– one in the US and another here in the Philippines. “For my wedding in the US, I might be doing my own makeup because I haven’t seen anyone yet who does light makeup or the same aesthetic as mine. But for my wedding here in the Philippines, I won’t be doing my makeup.”
“I want to look sexy yet elegant. I want a barely-there makeup, just glowing and radiant.”
As a makeup artist by profession, MJ has her skincare routine down to a T. “I visit my dermatologist regularly. I do chemical peel every 6 months and get a PRP treatment every month. Most of my skincare products are from my derma since I have very sensitive skin. I always make sure that I have my sunscreen on and I don’t have any makeup left on my face before I go to sleep.”
