Celebrity and bridal hairstylist MJ Rone has perfected the twists and turns of a bridal updo. This summer, if you’re planning to do an outdoor wedding, add some flowers in your perfectly coiffed hair.
To achieve the perfect updo, get your hair cut and colored a month before the wedding. Adding some highlights would add an extra dimension to your hair, and you’ll need subtle bangs if you want some tendrils to frame your face.
You could also do half-up, half-down waves for the flowers to nestle perfectly in your hair.
MJ’s extra tip for brides this summer season is to go a little lighter and color your hair in a medium brown shade, especially if you have jet black hair. To take it a notch higher, adding highlights would immediately add dimension to your hairstyle and give you that fresh, sun-kissed look!
Lastly, MJ recommends that you get your hair color retouched a few days before your wedding to hide the regrowth and throw in a hair treatment as well!
