According to him, he started to be enamored with the look of weddings whenever he would read Rita Neri’s newspaper column. At that time, he was working as an Air Philippines ticketing agent while completing his MBA degree at the Ateneo School of Business.

But because of his passion for flowers and design, he took a floral arrangement course at the Technology and Livelihood Resource Center and pursued further studies abroad. Flowers and Events by Teddy Manuel was born in 2001 and he became one of the most sought-after event stylists in the country.
