Last October 5-6, 2018, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino presented its 4th biggest and grandest bridal fair in the city –the Cebu Wedding Expo “Weddings at the Waterfront”. The grand finale was a bridal fashion show entitled “World CLASS Weddings at the Waterfront” that showcased the works of five of the most celebrated and world-class Filipino designers: Michael Cinco, Francis Libiran, Furne Amato, Ezra Santos, and Cary Santiago.
Michael Cinco opened the show with opulence: severe necklines, accentuated shoulder pads, mile-long trains, all decorated with painstakingly beautiful detail that has become the signature of the renowned couturier. In his bridal collection, Cinco reflects softness and femininity despite the architectural work incorporated in his pieces.
His muses wore delicately embellished headpieces that may as well pass as tiaras when worn with creations as beautiful as Cinco’s. When brides walk into Cinco’s atelier and wish to look and feel like a queen on their wedding day, their aspiration doesn’t seem so impalpable.
