Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino’s biggest and grandest Cebu Wedding Expo “Weddings at the Waterfront” bridal fair was definitely a success.

The two-day expo held last October 5 & 6, 2018 highlighted over a hundred wedding vendors and companies that offered the best of their services to soon-to-wed couples.

A bridal fashion show concluded the first day of the expo entitled “Intemporel” which featured nine of the city’s brilliant fashion designers namely Edwin Alba, Harvey Cenit, Hanz Coquilla, Rei Escario, Bree Esplanada, Mel Maria, Lord Maturan, Mike Yapching, and Humberto Villegas.

The second day of the expo was full of workshops which were free for all to join; a talk about “The Importance of Self-Confidence” by Banjoe del Rosario of Philippine Airlines, “The Essentials of a Brand” by Neil Felipp, the designer whose minaudieres got featured on a famous movie, and the “Depths of Beauty Makeup Workshop” by Arnaulogy.

Two schools also competed for the Table Set-up Competition: the University of Cebu – Banilad Campus and the University of San Jose-Recoletos to which the latter won, the second time around.

Culminating the expo is the most awaited World Class Bridal Fashion Show which made history in the country’s fashion industry. Co-presented by Diagold Jewelry and Emirates, this momentous year’s pinnacle event showcased five of the most sought after and world class Filipino designers: Michael Cinco, Francis Libiran, Furne Amato, Ezra Santos, and Cary Santiago.

Among the models who walked the runway were Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa, Miss Maja Pilipinas 1992 Marina Benipayo, Mister World 2012 Francisco Escobar, and supermodel Ria Bolivar.

The night was definitely full of glamour and sophistication as it was attended by prominent personalities such as Department of Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, Dawn Zulueta-Lagdameo, Zsa Zsa Padilla, John Estrada, Derek Ramsay, Kaye Abad-Castillo, Tessa Prieto Valdes, among many others. Fashion icons also present were Inno Sotto, John Herrera, and Albert Andrada.

Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino is celebrating its 20th year located at 1 Salinas Dr. Lahug Cebu City.  The hotel is one of the well-known landmarks in Cebu City and is the premiere venue for events and conventions in the country.
